Our Story
The Story Seeds was born through a mutual passion for English storybooks and wanting to find ways of sharing this passion with children whose first language isn't English. The co-founders are both mothers of bilingual children, specialised in teaching English to young learners and highly dedicated to providing top-quality workshops for both children and teachers."Our objective is to plant the seeds of curiosity in the minds of young learners."
Nicky Francis"We want children to go beyond learning words. We want them to come away from our workshops having discovered a whole new world through the storybook."
Jo Bertrand
We strongly believe in using
authentic English storybooks with young learners. After years of experience working with the British Council, with primary school teachers, language
assistants, libraries and book festivals, we
are wholly committed to bringing storybooks to children all over the world.

use authentic Storybooks because:
- They stimulate and motivate young children,
- The relationship between the text and the illustrations is highly supportive for children who don't speak English,
- The natural rhythm and music of the language found in storybooks acts as further support for both the children learning the language and the teachers teaching it,
- Children are highly motivated by them.
